A joint show and shine display day

Sunday, 15th February, 2009
Canada Bay Soccer Club (4 William Street, Fivedock)

9am till noon

Join us for a Bonnets Up Show n Shine type of day, with gorgeous, exotic cars from our friends at the Rolls Royce Club and the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club. These days always have a huge turnout so get there early to see some of the best cars NSW has hidden away.

Cheers Mat. Wink

Thanks for putting this on the Forum, Mat.
The day is hosted by the RROCA as a joint venture - and we hope to have as many people as possible from the RROCA, MBC-NSW and the TSCC.
The aim is to arrive at 9 am - park and open your bonnet for a morning of technical discussion and good fellowship. Bring your morning tea in your boot and join us all for lunch at the Canada Bay Club afterwards.
RROCA promises some stunning engines for you to look at and hear running  - and their owners will be only too pleased to explain all the details to you. Have you always wanted  to compare a Benz 6.3 with a Royce 6.8? Now is your opportunity.  Grin
Keep an eye out for a very famous Silver Ghost by the name of Edwina and see if Delilah comes anywhere near the same degree of 'bling'!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked
It's a fun day and a chance for us to do what we like best - cartalk will be compulsory.
Regards,

Indeed it is, this display will also appeal to people who just like to look at famous cars, brilliantly engineered in a era never to be repeated!

The wonderful variety of cars that will be on show is quite remarkable, I was chatting to Terry Daley at the NRMA Motorfest and he said he was in a quandary as to which cars to bring, we could see one or two of his 'E' Type Jags, the Lagonda may well make a rare appearance and he also has a Phantom he may bring along!

With the added advantage of having all the facilities that the Canada Bay Club offers, what a great Sunday morning it will be, I've been polishing 'DELILAH' till my arm aches!

Not to be missed!

Regards

Top Gear did a comparison of a grosser and a rolls Royce silver Spur not long ago....They drive thru the cdity streets of lONDON.....then the freeway.....the 600 definitely had the best turning circle and won on most accounts....the grosser lost on parking in a park space, altho both had trouble parking. anyway if you missed it you could see it on you tube.
