Vince,

A Club Member was telling the weather for Sat was not looking good.

Mat might be wrong?

I think the weather will be fine for Sat anyhow the weather looks to be exactly the same as last year anyhow.

Which was plenty of chrome, shiny paint and lots of fine cars on display sounds like a perfect weather forecast to me.

Just applying final preparation touches to my 260E this week.

Cheers,
Tim.

Just wanted to say a great day at the Motorfest yesterday.

All of the cars on display were terrific.

Good to meet the Club President Mike Fleming and thanks for the Concourse tips Mike very helpful.

Was very impressed with Vince Thompson's 'Delilah', 350SL.

And the blue 280SL Pagoda what a terrific car.

Question is to Mat, Mike what did you think of my 'Melvin', Mercedes?

Any photos of the day available.

Cheers Tim.

Tim

Just to keep the record straight, Mike is a Club Vice president, and an excellent one too. Club President is overseas and, unfortunately, was unable to attend this excellent event.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the promotion, but as Paul pointed out I am the current Vice President, along with Ben deBoer. You have a very nice car that just needs a good clean as I suggested to you. Start working on it soon and we expect an entry from you in the next Concours,....Mike

Mike,

Like I said thanks for the tips on how to clean the engine bay of my 260E and also the tips for the alloy wheels.

I can get the 4 alloy wheels repainted for $300 by my Cousin who is a spray painter.

My Cousin said he would use 2-pac paint and the paint would match the original colour of the MB alloy wheel colour.

Engine bay and alloy wheel cleaning project begins.

Good to speak to you.

Cheers Tim.

Fantastic Day although the heavens certainly opened up on the way home but fortunately no hail. Here are some pics from the day.

Cheers Mat. Wink

Great pics Mat, what a stunning array of cars our clubs had on show, many thanks to The Hunter Valley Classic Car Club for bringing their vehicles along and to all our members, old and new, who made the effort to come along, a truly great club day all round, the atmosphere and camaraderie was just wonderful!

We had Mercedes-Benz represented from every decade from the 50's to the present, the display of all the other clubs was also impressive and car lovers had plenty to see and talk about!

To top it all off, your truly somehow snagged the Best German Car on display trophy, my my, what a wonderful day!
