The Gnoo Blas CCC is keeping alive the memory of the old racing circuit, with its annual Classic Car Show and Circuit Tours.
Gnoo Blas hosted the first International Race Meeting in Australia and the inaugural Australian Touring Car Championship in 1960 (now the V8 series), so you can see it is steeped in history and tradition.
This year, lets join Vice President Ben de Boer as he travels back to the town where he grew up (as did his good pal Roland Schaepman), to enjoy this wonderful show and the history its offers.
Many different car clubs will be represented, life saving demo's are performed by the local Fire Brigade and Jack Brabham may be the guest speaker too!
The show is on Saturday at 10.30am, there is also a dinner in the evening at Orange City Bowling Club and on Sunday a drive to a local winery is organised followed by a picnic lunch on the shores of Lake Conoblas, delightful!
Ring and book a hotel now, as they are all filling fast.
A meet time will be organised closer to the date, for those that wish to drive down in convoy on the Saturday morning, I am taking a leisurely drive on Friday, so I'll see u there!

Further to my post above, I have just been informed by the GBCCC that it is essential to send payment for dinner as soon a possible, as they have around 300 attending and not many more can fit in!

Hi Matt The entrance to use is off Huntly Road and you can arrive anytime after 8am if you are displaying your car.

If u are just going to display at the show, u can pay at the gate, if you are going to the dinner in the evening u will need to register.

Thanks for that. Last year was the first time I had gone, wasn't prepared for the fee
got the finnie out today (day off work) with all intention to give it a good clean and check over as she hasn't been driven since before Christmas. But then it rained. Not going to complain. So she'll get a quick wash and a drink of fuel Saturday morning
looking forward to it, work commitments means I don't get her out as much as I'd like to anymore
