The rain was nowhere in sight so we had a very pleasant drive down to Bowral with 3 Bristol's (2 x 403's and 1 x 406) joining our Mercedes group, the roads travelled went through some great scenic countryside, and the traffic was relatively light.

I did not count the members present, but my lunch was the 52'ND ordered; thank goodness Vince had phoned the lunch orders through from McDonald's West prior to our group heading out, so everyone received their lunch fairly quickly. .

Thanks Vince and Jenny for organising another fun run with excellent food - and the price was great too.

What a great day for the club!

25 cars presented 50 people to our lunch venue, who did a remarkable job in presenting 50 excellent meals to our members and our special guests, the noble Bristol Car Club (still hand made in the UK!) who added a certain something to our entourage as it glided down the highways and (mostly) byways of the beautiful Southern Highlands!

The view as our cars travelled under Autumn trees arched over both sides of the road with sunlight glinting through, was worth the drive alone!

Congratulations to Donny Campbell for devising such a scenic route and to the rest of the Events and Social Committee, who work tirelessly in the background to put such a great day together.

We were made so very welcome at the St Maur Winery at Exeter, a venue we will no doubt visit again, soon.

regards

Well I was previously committed to a Ford Model T club outing which ended up down at the Nepean Dam, but funnily enough at our tea-break stop at Curry Reserve just north of Camden this morning, I did see a few nice Mercedes go by thinking, ah, so they also thought to come down Camden Valley Road as a more scenic route than just using the highway, but particularly impressed when a pair of nice early Bristol coupes cruised by - where did you find them?
I also had to pass up an annual meeting of the Golden Retrievers Club at Castle Hill as well as the loccal Motorlife Museum run up from Dapto to the Highlands, but hey, you can't get to all of 'em and it seems Sunday 18th was a popular choice.
Hope all had a good day out,
maybe next time.

Yes, it was indeed a great day. The weather was forecast rain and drizzle, but fortunately went the other way, sunshine. Our dashboard display was showing 24-26 degrees all day. The combination of the Bristol Club made the day that much better. Congrats to all....Mike
