I've finally found a set of 15 inch hubcaps on a 123 limo in a breakers yard, now, the stainless steel is somewhat dull, what is the best way of polishing these and is the outcome going to be worth the bother!

For best results take them to a professional metal polisher or electro-polisher.

If you would like to have a go yourself try The Original PURPLE metal polish .I find it excellent on stainless steel. It leaves a very fine bright finish without any scratching. It is distrub. by California Custom Products Toowoomba Qld. Ph. 07 4698 7855. I bought mine from a tool shop in Taree. ( 355ml blue liquid)

Carsie speaks the truth....we use this on the fuel tanks and bull bars of the trucks. There a 2 salient points worth mentioning..1.if they are really grubby give 'em a good spray with CT18 diluted 50/50 with water and let it sit for a while before washing it off. 2. dont be satisfied with the first attempt...do it in the shade let the purple polish haze off and buff..have plenty of rags. Repeat. If you enjoyed the process let me now...there's always plenty of fuel tanks to be polished. Boyd.
