Hi fellow Mercsters,
I have a new V12 bi-turbo badge that needs to go on the back of the boot lid. It is a genuine MB one so is all in position on that paper strip. Is there a secret to putting this on straight and in one piece. How do the panel beaters get these so perfect each time?

Any help gladly accepted ........... Eddy

If it is one piece, it would be much easier.
Make sure you clean and dry where the badge will go.
Get some masking tape and place it where the bottom of the sign should go (in lieu if a ruler or an imaginary line).
Gently place the badge after peeling the safety paper on the back.
Don't press hard until you are satisfied it is right.
Once you are then push firmly (not to hard or you'll dent the body).
Remove masking tape and... Voilą. All done
Make sure you post a picture.

Hi 260. (good motor - had a 2.6 190E - it was a great car!)
I have written a small article for him on the car at his request - that should appear in your next mag.

Happy Mercing .......... Eddy

The finished product. I put it a little nearer the centre as the shape of the boot lid curves towards the edge anf would make the badge slope downward. The CL600 badge on the otherside does this a tiny bit.
I am happy with it.

Hope the photo is attached ! ............ Eddy
